Girl Time

How is it possible that I am craving some “me” time?  I mean, seriously?  I am a stay-at-home Mom and I feel like, especially during the Summer, I am rarely doing anything for myself.  I know – it doesn’t seem possible!  Yet, it is!

Moms who stay at home with their kids (regardless of their ages) can completely relate. There is always something that needs to be done at the house, for the house, for their spouse, or for their kids. Believe me when I tell you that I LOVE being at home! It’s just lately I feel like I’d like a little break. Not a big break, just a little one.

I am super lucky!  I have a great husband (thanks, Hon!) who really understands me and is very supportive of me.  Not a lot of women can say that and really mean it.  For example, when I told him awhile ago that I was going to self-publish my books, he was all for it!  He wanted to know why I waited so long.  When I mention to him that I don’t really feel like cooking dinner, he suggests we order in.  When I said lucky, I meant it!

Girl time is essential to a healthy life. It’s essential to a healthy marriage and to a happy marriage.  After all, we all want to be happy.

So today, try and take a little “me” time or, if you’re lucky, make a little time to be with a friend.  I know I’m sure going to try!
